Situated in the village of Great Strickland, Penrith, just minutes from both the Lake District National Park and the Pennines.

We allow 1 medium to large dogs, or 2 smaller ones for a fee of £25 per dog, per stay.

Wonderful cottage for a family stay, children loved the cool bunk bed and whole place had great feel including sunny garden. Location was ideal for exploring, whether heading to Cat Bells for great hike or to Aire Force for swimming in pools (both we would recommend!) all in easy reach.

Great place to stay as a family of 5. Close to Penrith and then onto the Lakes. Lovely space to relax with a cosy fire and easy chairs, great for the darker autumn evenings. Beautiful countryside close by to explore and visit.

We loved Rittson Cottage, beautiful, well equipped and beautifully decorated with thick towels and excellent heating. A tasty pack of flapjacks greeted us which was a nice surprise. 10 minute walk to town; excellent, authentic Indian food nearby. Short drive to Ullswater walks. No complaints.
